Weight loss journey

Sara

So I had that awful talk with my doctor saying I need to lose weight. She was brilliant about it and gave me loads of advice on how to start.

1. Try to go tee total on the sugar in my hot drinks - sweetners are a good alternative. - check I've completely swapped out the sugar in my drinks for sweetener.

2. We had identified that I ate waaay to many biscuits with my hot drinks. - check most days I have no biscuits and on occasion I have one or two.

3. Count calories. - check got a brilliant app that actually works!

4. Calorie deficit- we agreed to aim between 1200 and 1500 - kinda check I've been a bit closer to 1600 calories per day. Something to work on.

5. Water intake - still working on definitely compounded the other day when my annual medical at work showed I was very dehydrated. But I got a sports bottle with a scale on the side so I can aim to drink two bottles of it per day!

On top of all this I've been swimming one hour per week - but I haven't been diligent with it some weeks were twice and others none.

All of this in six weeks, despite one cheat week where most meals were at the 2000 calorie mark and I've still managed to lose nearly a stone! 13.89lbs or 6.3kg!

I'm so pleased with myself. Hopefully this trend will continue with the few areas I still need to work on - water, calories and exercise once a week without fail. It just goes to show ladies that a few changes can make a huge difference and one I can maintain with little effort!

Little update its been 9weeks since I started and I've lost 21.8lbs basically a stone and a half! The aim is to lose around 100lbs (7 stone roughly) though I'd be happy with 50lbs! Getting there slowly the main thing is I'm maintaining the lost so far!

However ladies if you have any other tips please comment below.
