Toxoplasmosis advice needed

Hey so SOMEHOW despite living with indoor/outdoor cats for 18 years and working with animals for the past 7 years, my toxoplasmosis test just came back negative and I’m TTC.

I work in an animals shelter where they share boxes, kill mice, and we get a lot of ferals and kittens. The boxes are cleaned daily but they are also plastic. Should I just mask and glove up when it comes to boxes or leave my job? How the heck have I not been exposed yet 😭
