My period was 3 days

So in the month of October I was taking my birth control late because of my busy schedule with a a hour or a little after midnight when I take it around morning or afternoon it happened a couple times not ALOT but a bit and then it was the beginning of November I got my period a day late and it lasted 3 days and now I'm suppose to get my period in a week but wanted some sort of explanations during the month of October I don't quite remember what I had going on but none the less something stressful probably happened haha
