How does eviction work?

I’m 22 my bf is 24 & we have a 1 year old. We recently moved into an apartment that was infested with roaches, bed bugs & mice... we did not know or was aware of this. We dealt with this problem for 3 months with the landlord ignoring every complaint. A few times she brought over roach spray that did NOTHING.. a month ago she finally got someone to come over and spray the house. We don’t have as many as we did but we still have some & still have bed bugs & found dead mice around the house.. not only that but ALL my  furniture is done for.. I can’t bring anything to a new spot. I have this documented. Can I fight why I haven’t paid rent for the last two months even though she did have someone come by to fix the problem..? It’s not all the way fixed. I just don’t want an eviction on our record when it’s already hard enough getting an apartment being so young.. need advice and help. We’re not people to just not pay tent we paid the whole time we had roaches coming out the kitchen walls.. I’m just so mad she moved us in KNOWING all these problems.. she also came to my house & shut off my light because I didn’t answer her calls then refused to leave my apartment when I told her to leave and tried shutting the door she stood in the front of it
