Anyone else? (Pandemic/Election)

Anyone else sort of preparing for a second shut down? 
I’m not hoarding (never was before) but I find that every time I’m at the store if I see something in stock( santizer, wipes, toiletries, etc.) that I buy an extra one just to keep on hand in case?) 
I’m also thinking about stocking up on an extra bag or two of my pets foods 
I have a feeling we’re going to see a rise in violence after the election no matter who wins since were so divided as it is and between that and the supposed surge coming again I just want to be able to lock down if necessary 
I know some areas will be fine but I just moved from Philly (and was there during Covid and the riots) to just outside of Philly so I’ve already seen how ugly it can get close to home (at my old house we could hear the explosions of them blowing up ATMs during all of the craziness) plus how crazy people got when they announced a lock down 
Anyone else doing this?

I live in Philly. We are already in the 3rd surge.  My husband does most of the food shopping and will pick up extra wipes and cleaning supplies if they are available because a lot of the times the shelves are empty.
I’d be more worried being in the suburbs tbh. I grew up in the suburbs and while the city is democratic, the suburbs are republican and I can just imagine the racists really tryin to start shit if (hopefully when🤞🏻) Trump loses.

This post will cause a panic even if it’s just internally.  We dont need for people to post about their tactics or predictions and start hoarding things for no reason. Let’s all calm down and think logically.

We’ve been stocking up on paper towels, toilet paper, formula, baby wipes and diapers. We have a 2 1/2 year old and a baby coming Wednesday. I was so stressed in the beginning of the lockdown when I couldn’t find diapers or baby wipes and had to buy the most expensive diapers on the market (they were total crap by the way). Not happening this time!

I think it depends on how the election goes honestly. If Biden wins, then I will honestly probably begin to stock pile between now and January. My main worry is things will shut down even worse and end up being even more scary that it was before back in March/April-ish.

I’ve been buying one or two extra things whenever we go grocery shopping but I’m not hoarding. I honestly don’t expect our city to get hit hard with violence or chaos, even at the height of the protests it was 1-3 days of chaos and it just died down. We have to worry more about covid since our city is running out of hospital beds but numbers keep rising. Either way even in the beginning when people were being crazy there was still alot of mom and pop shops that had what we needed if the big stores didn’t, so I’m not too worried. I feel for those in areas who most likely will get hit badly, we’re trying to get my sister in law down here from Alabama before the election’s.

Even in Canada the government has told us they’re prepared should the transition of power not happen peacefully.
We’ve prepared at my house, for us & our extended family here just in case something happens.  Better to be safe than sorry 🤷‍♀️.

No matter who wins the election, it's going to be bad. I pick up an extra pack of toilet paper every time I buy groceries, which is every two weeks, and I also grab a canister of whatever disinfecting wipes are available. We have some canned goods stocked up (maybe enough to last a month) and enough meat in the freezer to last a while. I'm not really anxious about it, but it's nice to have a little extra on hand. With the diehard Trump fans in my immediate area and rioters just across the river in Portland, I could see things getting messy. I have no problem with Antifa and BLM supporters at all. People who destroy businesses just to destroy them and cause chaos are another story and I have found that most of them have no political affiliation or reasonable motivation, they just want to watch the world burn. Honestly, I think we're sitting on a powder keg and the election results will be the match that sets the whole thing off. It's going to be ugly. That being the case, I'll grab another pack of toilet paper and a can of wipes when I go grocery shopping tonight. I might get another bag of rice while I'm at it.

I don’t plan to. I’m an essential worker, and I haven’t had any issues with getting the things I NEED.  I am not concerned about hoarding. I am concerned about the riots and violence that will come with Trump being relelected. Those carry over into my job, and I don’t really feel like having to deal with any more bullshit than the recent riot inciting incidents have created.

I'm a prepper and have have enough food to last my family 2 years, water 5 years and basic essentials 2 years.
