6.2 spotting no fetus
Hoping to hear similar stories or situations that ended up with a successful full term pregnancy.
According to my lmp I should be 6.2 today. Woke up this morning to some spotting, looks more like pinkish discharge. Having had a MC before I was devastated. Boobs still really sore and bleeding stopped, but was crying and stressed out all day. Decided to go to the emergency room for peace of mind, knowing they can't do anything at this point even if I'm miscarrying.
Doctor checked my cervix and said if its open it is or will be for sure a MC. It was closed thankfully
They ordered bloodwork and she said it was in the range but didn't disclose what it was and I was afraid to ask knowing the range is really high and didn't want to worry with something in the low range.
Abdominal U/S done was not clear so she did a transvaginal. She pointed to the sac but said she doesn't see an embryo. They all said it could be too early. When she did the second ultrasound, I couldn't see the screen. I sneaked a peak when she left the room for me to change and I saw that she put 5 weeks 3 days for measurement and nothing under fetal heartbeat.
Doctor confirmed no fetus seen that it might be too early to see, that cervix is closed and hcg is in the range and next thing to do is another one in 2 days. Which all could be good signs but not for sure.
This month was a surprise pregnancy, because I had stopped tracking ovulation and logging when we had sex because its been over a year and a half of trying and I'm just tired of disappointment every single month. We had sex once and maybe 3-5 days before when I usually ovulate and I don't know for sure when i did. Sounds like if I was only 5 weeks 3 days that sperm couldn't have lived long enough to when I ovulated... thoughts ??
