Do you encourage your young children to believe in Santa?

My daughter is 2. She’s starting to recognize Santa in books and she understands when other people talk about Santa.

My husband and I are trying to decide whether or not to encourage her to believe in the story of Santa. On the one hand, it’s magical and fun for a kid to believe in the idea of Santa Claus. On the other hand, it’s essentially a lie that you’re perpetuating for years and when another child inevitably reveals the truth, will your child be upset you lied to them for so long? I’m not sure...I see both sides and would love to hear others’ views on this.
