Tips/ tricks to get your toddler to take medicine ? (Childrens Tylenol /ibuprofen )

Question

Our boy is 20m in a week and teething the last 4 molars. He’s been cranky, chewing on things more, fighting bedtime and waking at night but he hated taking children’s Tylenol or ibuprofen. 
Any tips to get him to take it?

Tylonal, Motrin, Advil. Has no issues. says YUM. 
I don’t give it often but he’s teething so bad.

We have had some epic fails on trying to give medicine. He’ll spit it right back out, cry hysterically, etc. For a while we did it while he was in the bath tub. He was happy cause he liked the bath and if it came back out, no biggie. Now we’ve been using a spoon. He hates the syringes but will take it off a spoon (most of the time).

we've never tried lol hes never once had to take medicine in his life, but for elderberry syrup i mix into some juice or a smoothie

My daughter takes meds daily for her allergies and for that and Tylenol when she needs it, I just mix it in her milk.   🤮. Sounds disgusting to me but she doesn't mind a bit.

Sometimes my daughter fights it, but she actually likes the medicine. So as long as I can manage to get a tiny bit in there, she takes the rest.

I just point the syringe on the side of her mouth so it doesn't go straight back to her throat. At first it took two of us ... one holding her hands and the other with medicine. But she's grown accustomed to it now. We also realized it was a flavor thing . She hated the cherry Tylenol but likes the grape. 
I also talk to her a lot and idk if she really grasps what I'm saying but when I see her messing with her teeth biting everything and anything I ask if her teeth hurt followed by if she wants Tylenol and now goes running toward it now :)
