Cautiously Optimistic

I found out I was initially pregnant December 2019- I was so excited as this was my first pregnancy, and I had found out the day after I tested that my best friend of 25 years was also expecting and we had very close due dates!

I went to my first ultrasound in January 6 at about 8 weeks. During the ultrasound I knew something wasn’t right as I was not able to see anything- and the tech was very quiet. Come to find out I had a blighted Ovum and had miscarried. I opted to have a D&C in hopes that it would help me move on and possibly get pregnant again sooner. rather than later. It took weeks for my levels to finally be 0- and still had no regular period- my cycles were lasting upwards of 50 days- I was thinking that it was normal and that I was still recovering. Finally- late May I decided to visit my doctor to see what was going on. At that time it was determined that I was not ovulating. He then started me on progesterone and letrozole to see if it would help. We went through 3 cycles- each time upping the dose. Finally In September it was confirmed that I had FINALLY had a good ovulating cycle!! I did not conceive that cycle- but I am happy to announce after waiting very patiently- on my second good cycle I may have a winner. I know it is extremely early- but I am hoping that this will be our rainbow baby! Good luck to all you soon to be mommas- I really hope that we all get through this

together and have happy healthy little ones in July!
