Early-morning buffet and production issues
My four-week-old is able to sleep for several straight hours after a big evening feed, but often wakes up crying every hour between midnight and 5:00 AM to feed. I’m trying to make it less of a “snacking” and more of a full BF but it feels like I’m drained dry too quickly so I have to fill it out with formula. I worry that the formula usage is causing me to produce less breastmilk, and causing a vicious cycle. Who else is in this position? Any advice? I’ve read that pumping can stimulate production in general, even if milk doesn’t come out during every pumping session.
