Should the sale of fireworks be banned to the general public?

I don’t know if it’s legal or not where you are. It’s legal in my country to have fireworks as long as you have a licence which isn’t hard to get.

I ask because of a local news story that came out yesterday.

A two year old girl was standing outside her back garden with her parents on Halloween night when a firework was thrown into their property which burned the little girls face, coat and set the curtains alight in their kitchen.

People where I’m from tend to use them with no respect and destructively. Not to mention the severe distress it causes animals.
