Who is in the wrong?

My bf (we’re now long distance) knows I put each individual text from every person on my phone on do not disturb so it shows a the grey half moon symbol next to their names. As weird as it is it’s legit cuz of my OCD. I need all of them to show the grey moon symbol and on top of that I don’t want any notifications sounds because it’s annoyingly and yes I could have put my phone on do not disturb but then I would miss phone calls so this works for me.

My bf started asking me and questioning me as to why I do this and how he thinks it’s weird and doesn’t even want to continue the convo because he’ll just overthink.

Am I in the wrong? Oh and I’ve been doing this for the last two years almost so its legit just how I like it I don’t see the issue with it.
