Period sex?

I haven’t had sex with my fiancé in a little while. Normally we have sex everyday at least a couple times a day, or at least every other day while I’m visiting him (it’s a long distance relationship). Recently his bosses family got covid, and his boss was at work for days before knowing they had it. His boss got tested, but had to wait 5 days to get the results, so my fiancé got tested during that time so he’d know. Fortunately he is okay, tested negative.

Obviously though he didn’t want me near him while we were waiting for his test. He knows my immune system is weak, so I’m really happy he was looking out for me. But then something was wrong with his stomach. He thought maybe it was a hernia, and he was in a lot of pain and I was really worried about him. Turns out he just needed to fart really bad lol, gas build up is no joke. He’s better now, but I just started my period when he got better.

The problem is I’m so fucking HORNY. I’ve never had period sex before, and I’ve always been grossed out by the thought of it before. But I know my man is down for it if and when I ever say I’d like to try.

What should I do? I want to try it, but I don’t know what to expect. I’ve got bad cramps, will sex make it hurt more? Should I put down towels so I don’t bleed on the sheets? Should he wear a condom? We don’t normally use condoms because they’re very uncomfortable for both of us. Can anyone give advice on what to expect, which positions are more comfortable when cramping, etc?

EDIT: I’m gonna clarify to avoid more suggestions of doing it myself, I’m unable to pleasure myself by masturbating, even using a toy. Idk if something is wrong with me or not but I’ve never been able to enjoy masturbation. I need the emotional connection I have with my fiancé to enjoy sex, otherwise I can’t even get turned on.
