Pregnancy test

Hi, sorry if it’s a stupid question. Let me give a little back story to be a bit more clear. My period is late for some days according to this app, but I’m also irregular. I’ve been meaning to test. I got home with some test a while ago. However hubs was in the mood and couldn’t let the opportunity slide by. So we just had intercourse about 15 minutes ago. We used a condom. I was wondering if I take a test now, since I’ve already been late could us having sex affect the results? Should I wait a few hours longer or until the morning or can I test now? Again sorry for the stupid question. Hope it’s a bit clear lol I’m kinda dumb at explaining scenarios
