THE SHOT 😳

Hey ladies, I’ll make this short and sweet and to the point.

I recently have had a very real and important talk with my mom about my sexual activity (I am 17) I do have a boyfriend whom my family have met. My mom and dad have approved of him. She explained that she knew it (my desire to have sex) was something that she would anticipate so instead of fighting me about it she is coming on the more ‘cautionary’ side of things. I’m going to the doctor soon and she said that she wants me on another form of birth control (i do take the pill now — I’ve been taking it for years)

We are considering taking the shot.

So my question(s) are:

Has anyone here taken the shot? How was your experience?

What can expect from the shot ?— how might my body be effected by it (periods, cramps, my cycle etc.) or how might it effect my sex drive or my lady bits?
