Has anyone doctor said they needed to lose weight before ivf?

I read a post the other day where someone's doctor wanted them to lose 70 pounds before starting ivf and if that is a thing, I'm screwed. I've tried so hard to lose weight, weight watchers, gym 4-5 times a week, walking every night, herbalife. I feel defeated. It's like this pcos just grabs on to all the fat and never let's it go. My doctor was hesitant before putting me on Clomid because my BMI needed to be under 40 and it was 41. Were currently waiting on our follow up with our RE after all of my blood work, baseline ultrasound, saline ultrasound, Hsg exam, and husbands semen analysis. Hsg exam determined I have one completely blocked tube. He doesnt want to do surgery as of now but I'm hoping hell let us skip right to ivf instead of attempting iui with the chance of ectopic pregnancy or it not working at all since we only have 2 chances at this with our insurance :/

Thank you for reading if you've gotten this far. Just having so much anxiety waiting for the next step. Were just so ready for our family :(
