Pap smears

I've been on the depo shot for a year now and am sexually active. Each time I go for my shot my nurse tries to make appointments for a Pap smear. I know they are important but I'm terrified. I faint very easy at the site of blood or the talk of anything medical. I know it's not going to hurt and I try to prepare myself but I honestly can't even think about a Pap smear without getting light headed and needing to sit down.
