What is your plan if your SO can't work?

I was a stay at home woman. But my boyfriend and I have been getting into arguments, I moved in with my parents. The relationship was bad but I stayed especially with the pregnancy I wanted a family. One night I got into a fight with him it was bad domestic abuse so I left. Now I am stressed and worried, I have to come up with a plan for it all. Do you guys have a plan in place if your husband cheats, leaves, divorce or dies? I wish I had a plan in place but sometimes you don't want to put yourself in that place

I have my in-laws who are local & my family lives about 7 hours away from us, but it is totally driveable. I know that both sides of our families are supportive of us & that they'd be ready & willing to help us in any situation... I also have a degree in elementary education so I could always go back to teaching (what I did before I got married & had babies).

I have a career to fall back on. But my husband and his father own a business & it's a really good one. If he cousins physically work anymore it just become a Forman for the company. If that didn't work anymore I would go back to a dental office OR a daycare. I find ways to make money here & there. I don't make more than $200 a month... But it helps. :)

I'm a sahm mom but actually more like a work at home mom because I work from home so god forbid something ever happened to my hubby we could get by on my income and if that became too tight I could always go back to work outside the home to get a better paying job like what I had before baby and have my mom babysit.

Family and I already have a Bachelors degree. Our life would not be as comfortable as it is now but we would make our own way.

Yeah. I have a degree, I'm finishing my masters and my separate bank account that I've always had with some money in it.  Personally I'm only staying home the first six months then my husband and I are switching so he can finish his degree and take a break after 10 years of military service. Not that it'll be much of a break with me going military now but it's okay!

My mother told me even from a child rely on no one. No matter what things can happen and I'm not going to have no plan.

Um, I'd get a job and work for my kids. I don't rely or depend on my SO for income. Staying at home or not. I find a way to make my own money. And if none work , I'll get a JOB.

If anything happens to my husband and he can't work, I have several things I can fall back on. I've been a nanny for 10 years so child care is always an option for me. I also have several years of office experience and I'm only short a few credits from my teaching degree, so I have options.
