Help! Would it be wiser to not buy any baby clothes until closer to due date?

Question

Just in case baby is way bigger and can’t fit into newborn clothes? That way I can return them within 30 days and get my money back? 
What should I do for this? 
Many people are saying their baby couldn’t fit into gerbers clothes since their sizing is smaller.
Edit: I guess I should add I’m 17 weeks, due in April.

You don’t need to buy so many newborn size clothes because they put grow them quickly. Get may 6 outfits max and the rest 0-3 months.

I started baby shopping after I found out the gender. I started really small like diapers. Then after my baby shower at34 weeks I bought everything I didn't get at the shower.

I would still get a few newborn clothing as you don’t know when baby will actually come. And there are other brands like Carter’s and OshKosh and Baby GAP as well.
