When do you reach the safe zone during pregnancy ?

My last pregnancy had no heartbeat and stopped growing at 6 weeks. Thankful this pregnancy I’m 8 weeks with a heartbeat but I’m still scared of miscarriage. I’ve heard so many stories of people miscarrying at 16 weeks. It’s like I just spend all my time looming about my pregnancy and just getting all excited. I don’t think I can handle another miscarriage. But I guess we plan and plan and God is the best of planners. Does anyone know how many weeks during pregnancy will be the safe zone?

There’s no such thing as a safe zone, but the odds of a miscarriage decrease every day you’re still pregnant (datayze has a miscarriage probability calculator if watching the likelihood decrease every day would help calm your fears). My personal milestones are heartbeat, viability and full term.

When your baby us healthy in your arms post birth. The % chances of loss go down each week but still births and late losses do happen. So for me the milestones I sigh at reaching are 2nd trimester, viability date, and birth. Otherwise I just hope for the best.

I miscarried at 14 weeks but realistically you can miscarry at any point during your pregnancy. There really is no safe zone and you just have to try to relax and enjoy as much as you can.

They say the chances decrease after 22 weeks but I’ve still heard of people miscarrying at 27 weeks. So there’s no safe zone.

Typically at the end of 12 weeks is less than 1% chance of miscarriage- hence why many will wait till that time to announce.. of course there’s still things that happen, but much more rare.
