😭😭😭 I’m in tears. We spent a decent amount of money on decorations and rented a place for our daughter’s first birthday party. I am so upset that we now have to cancel it. Covid numbers are rising again in our area and will likely shut down things. This isn’t how I envisioned my life after having a child would be like. Don’t get me wrong we still go out and do things, I am not going to stay cooped up and not live my life. We wear masks, we social distance. But, boyfriend’s side of the family is large (Italians) and they have cancelled the huge family Thanksgiving we usually do. I figured if they cancelled that they will not be coming to her party that is just 4 days prior to that. That’s a majority of our guests, I’m not willing to spend the money on it and then no one come. I’m just so upset that we aren’t getting to do the birthday party I always dreamed of before having her. I know she won’t remember but we didn’t plan on doing anything big for birthday’s after this first one until she was older. I’m just heartbroken and it feels silly but I can’t help it.
