7 recurrent miscarriages, still ttc #1

💗GirlMom2023💓💙BoyMom2025💙

I experienced my 7th miscarriage at 7 weeks on 10/17, just 2 days after seeing / hearing baby heartbeat. This was the first pregnancy where we actually carried to my 1st u/s appt which made us think, this was it. Unfortunately this was the worse day of my life!!!

Long story short, after being diagnosed with PCOS in 2016 and having 3 miscarriages my OB decided to refer me to a specialist as she did EVERYTHING under the sun that she could do, but nothing seemed to work. Sooo... In 2018 I started seeing the RE doc she ran tests (chromosomal, antibody tests, sperm analysis) everything came back norm for hubby and I. But after being with her for 3 pregnancies as I had a mc a month before seeing her and she STILL NOT knowing wtf is wrong, I decided to book with a male specialist at a different fertility clinic that has over 30 years experience in RE. I felt as though all she ever talked about was 💰 & recommended

IVF

after saying I didn’t need it initially. She then diagnosed me with “unexplained fertility” and I’m like I’m not settling for that, we have to find out why this keeps happening. I even asked her during multiple appts if my testerone levels are taking part of this, asked if uterus could be checked for polyps, etc.... NOTHING! All she did was look at the u/s taken from my OB in 2016 from confirming cysts on ovaries and to determine that my uterus was normal & no polyps!

Ladies, maybe I should’ve said this in the beginning, sorry but I need to vent, but I really hope you guys can see my frustration here😩 This specialist didn’t do any testing when I wasn’t pregnant, hcg & antibodies were taken at every appt and THAT IS IT.

I’ve taken progesterone with 6 pregnancies and baby aspirin with the #7 and that one stuck the longest. Also, my anticardiolipin IGm goes to 16 when I’m pregnant or after a miscarriage but then goes back down to 9 like the other IGg & IGa. She did offer heparin due to levels being 16 and discussed the risk with taking that and also mentioned that they don’t normally prescribe heparin unless the number is 25 or above.

I’ll be taking a recurrent m/c test with my new OB and hsg test. Feel free to share your stories or advice on what worked for you to sustain a pregnancy... TIA!

**Edit

During my consultation with my new RE he told me that high testerone levels while pregnant is like taking birth control when pregnant. Meanwhile the my previous RE doc just laughed when I told her that I have to pluck my chin 2-3 days as I grow hair and hair my upper lip weekly!
