Why has my period been lighter ?

My period always been heavy and now its starting to have light flow. What is it ? Cause im loving this and im 16. Is it that sex can reduce the flow or no ???

Bodies aren't machines. Your periods make change as you age. It's completely normal.

Your period can change over time, especially as your hormones balance out. You might just be lucky and get lighter periods from now on. Just keep an eye out for MAJOR changes like, if it goes from one extreme to the other. Like super light barely-there spotting to really heavy with clots, or vice versa. Slight change over time is normal but a huge change really fast could need a doctor’s visit 
Sex shouldn’t change your period at all as long as you’re using protection (some STI’s can make your period worse, and obviously pregnancy changes things) 
Also, if you’re due to start your period soon (like in a day or two) and you have penetrative sex, it can cause some spotting. It’s nothing to worry about

Any new stressors or life style changes?
I always had short, light periods. On and off the pill. I found out at 30 and ttc that wasn’t a good thing
