How likly is it to get pregnant two days befor your period and two days after ?

Theres that old wifes tail  that says you can get pregnant two days be for an two days after your period now is that true or  is that Faules oppions welcome

2 days BEVORE your estimated period you can't get pregnant (98%).  2 days AFTER you finished your period you can get pregnant if you've a short cycle. If you don'twant to get pregnant - use protection.

Its so strange because when i was 15 my mom always warned me. To not have sex befor or after my period i could never understand why but now i kinda get it iam 19 and i only have a period that last 4 days so i guess my chances of gettin pregnant after my period would be a tad higher then most
