Chlomid

I have pcos, had blood tests at the start of my last period and they came back normal. My doctor said it was an easy fix and put me on 50mg of chlomid. I finished taking it last Saturday cd 3-7 and started testing opks on Tuesday, cd 10. The lh has been high in my system every day that I’ve tested since. Should I assume that it isn’t going to help my ovulate? Do I need a higher dose? I’m not sure what to expect but something is telling me that it’s not working :(
