Spotting with birth cintrol

Last week I thought I had a yeast infection so I used Monistat 6 1/2 weeks postpartum. Fast forward a couple hours I woke up my panties had blood all over them and I was on fire. I went to the ER because I couldn’t get the symptoms to subside and it was getting worse. They said I didn’t have a yeast infection but gave me Diflucan and it went away entirely. Now I’ve had some spotting for the last two or three days. I just started taking birth control I’ll be on my third week starting tomorrow. I am going to be seven weeks postpartum. The spotting is bright red. Is that typically normal I haven’t been on birth control in quite some time. Or postpartum infection??
