Been trying for 7 years!

My husband and I have been trying for years on and off. We recently started trying again .. like really trying. We used preseed and a conception fertility pill with amazing reviews and almost instant results from the woman I've talked to. Well I'm currently 6 days late on my period and I have been testing for a few days now will negative results still. My cycle is regular and never off. I'm starting to get my hopes up but I'm praying for that positive. Could it be soon to test? I had the same problem when I got pregnant with my first child negative after negative and a month went by before I tested positive. No sign of my period coming so praying to see that plus sign soon!
