My sons eye

What is wrong with my sons eye? Obviously I know I need to ask his doctor but she's not available right now...He had impetigo a few weeks ago but this doesn't look like it to me. It was crusty this morning and we took it off. Does pinkeye effect the area around the eye or just the eye ball itself? Idk what it could be
