I don’t understand why people look down upon stay at home moms .?

I don’t get why people judge so much for a woman who stays home with the kids. By choice or not I don’t think it’s anybody’s business at all. Correct me if I’m wrong but mentally we have to be strong to stay at home all the time we don’t get to shower when we want , or have any time to even think for ourselves while we are taking care of little ones. Ofc we don’t bring home the money but still how are we less than just because we don’t work. Me personally I don’t have a way to work an it’s hard enough finding someone to watch my kids. I would like to work but it is hard at the moment. But either way like I can’t stand people who constantly sit here an say we don’t do anything or talk shit about stay at home mothers 😤 I’m honestly sick of it and that question bothers me the most “when are you gonna work”? Ugh an it does make me feel some type of way when I answer “idk” I feel bad about myself when they start looking at me with their judgy faces ugh lately that’s all I been getting an I just had a baby 1 month ago so I’m not gonna lie I don’t wanna go to work yet I really wanna spend time with my kids while I can but I also feel like it’s getting to my mans head also because he asks me the same thing sometimes when I wanna start work an I can’t really say I don’t want to so I’ve been applying to jobs but have to get rides to the interview & have someone sit in the car with my kids while I go inside 😐 I guess I feel stuck an I feel sorta rushed I don’t have a problem with working or anything I used to work a lot before I started having kids now it’s different we didn’t have anyone to watch them. But whatever I guess everyone’s little comments are getting to me now 🙄 it just sucks

Don’t you dare let them get to you. Children need their MOTHER. Not a daycare worker. Not a babysitter. They need their own mother to be with them and raise them. What you’re doing is the most important job on earth. If I were you and people were asking me about going back to work I’d say things like “Who is more qualified than me to raise my own kids?”
“I know some men need their wife to help them financially but my husband isn’t one of them.” (He’ll feel like a King)
“Why would I spend my time benefiting ABC company when I can spend my time benefiting my family?” It’s time to make these mommy shamers feel stupid. People are so forward, they need to be put in their place.

This is between you and your husband no one else should be influencing how you and him run your household. There’s nothing wrong with staying home to raise your children if you can afford living off of one income. I plan on having a career in the future but for now I’m enjoying spending time with my little ones while they’re so small. I’m also taking classes online so that I’m still working on my degree while I stay home. I have a GI Bill that completely covers tuition and gives me a housing allowance each month and my husband also gets 6 free credit hours per semester I can use since he works at a university. My husband fully supports me staying home and is letting me decide on when I go back to work. Although I come from a family of career women, they support me staying home versus sticking them in daycare. I am their mother and the best person for them.

If you want to stay home with your kids then by all means do it . Don’t let negative people effect your decision. If you want to go to work then you can do that as well . It’s between yourself and your husband it is nobody else’s business what you do . So I would either ignore the negative comments or tell them to mind there own business because what you decide is up to u not them

Iam glad I don’t have to work and dont want to I am lucky I have a partner to take care of us in that way I want to stay at home with my kids all day evreyday I love being with them I don’t care what people think and if somone asked me i would tell them straight what’s it got to do with you I will do what I want theirs no job or amount of money that can compare to the time spent with your kids as their growing I would rather have less money and material items and have memories of my kids growing up with me their with them am proud to be a stay at home mum it’s the hardest job in the world and if you work and that’s what you want to do and it makes you happy good for you everyone is different

I'm thankful I get to be a stay at home mom become one end of June because I'm pregnant with number2 and it's been a hard pregnancy but seriously idk how moms do it! its honestly harder then working in my opinion!!!! Seriously huge huge props to any stay at home mom this shit is hard my 1st is almost 16 months old and I'm 30 weeks pregnant and honestly idk how I've survived 🙃

Haha, I have 5 kids the 2 oldest work. Then, I have my 3 little ones. My husband family always ask, when are you going to start working this is my face

Then , I will ask  “why do I owe you money”or I will call my husband and ask “did you borrow money from your family”. I know the answer , but they get embarrassed, becauseeee if I don’t owe them shit then need to mind their business. My husband told them she’s my wife , my kids . I support them.

I couldn’t be a stay at home mom, I’m not built for it I have to work to keep me sane and I am not comfortable with not earning my own money. I would never look down on SAHM it’s a choice I just can’t do it. But like another comment said people will always judge I had a SAHM shame me because I was picking work over spending time with my children I want my daughter to know I work just as hard to provide for as her Daddy that is my choice and I definitely know how hard it is to be a SAHM during lockdown I’m more exhausted then when I work
