Engagement ring too small?

Hi there! I just got engaged (woo!) but I’m worried that the ring is a size too small. I normally wear a 7-7.5 I think, but I don’t wear rings much. This is a 6.5. I can take on and off with a little force and when I push up on the bottom of the ring, there is space between ring and my finger. Just wondering if I should size up or not!

I would size up a little! If it gets really hot where you live your hands could swell which makes it very uncomfortable!

They say a ring is perfect when you can twist it to get it off. If you can freely pull it off it's too loose and if you can't get it off by twisting it's to tight. Keep in mind as well that your finger size fluctuates with your level of hydration!

It’s too tight, even if it’s half a size bigger it’ll help, it’s changing the shape of your finger, mine fits like this

If it is difficult to get on & off now then yes. Because if your finger swells the slightest, you won’t be able to get it off which can cause major issues.

If its uncomfortable,  I would size up. Especially if your fingers tend to swell.
