Please help 😩

H

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for about a year and half now. My in laws, brother in law and his wife, and my husband and I are all together at the moment for the holidays.

The day we drove in, my brother in law and his wife announced that they are now pregnant with their second child (their first born just turned one). Of course my husband and I are so happy for them, but we are now all stuck together for 2 weeks and my brother in law and his wife (plus my in laws) won’t stop lecturing us multiple times a day about how we should not be delaying getting pregnant and how everyone else our age in their community (which is so toxic) already have kids. They spend most of the day either lecturing us or talking about the joy of having a child.

It is so hurtful and insensitive... not to mention so awful because we are supposed to be on vacation together and stuck in a house with everyone for 2 weeks. It’s truly unbearable.

How would you all advise is the best way to respectfully respond to these awful comments? Some people are just so awful.

I felt so alone this week but then remembered this incredible community of women on Glow. 💖
