What should be our next step?

Hi Ladies, need some help. We are based in the UK, I am 32 and hubby is 35. Trying for 2 years now, I have regular period (27-28 days). Hormone blood report during periods and day-5 from next period all came fine except AMH. AMH was 1.2 which they said was low for my age.

Husband’s sperm was all good and reports were perfect.

The fertility clinic nurse concluded it was unexplained infertility and suggested we could either wait to get AFC done (1200 patients in waiting so it would take 3-4 months) or we could go for IVF as the AFC will be done then too.

She also mentioned that even if we wait for the AFC we will still need to go for IVF.

I am wondering if we should be doing other tests too such a Fallopian tubes blockages? Or is it assumed that all this is working because the periods are regular?

Are there any other tests that you were suggested before the docs concluded that IVF would be the best option in your case. Any pointers would help.

I am just wondering is it that if you have low AMH, most RE suggest IVF straight away or are there ways to improve chances naturally maybe with meds or something else?
