Baby registry?

Question

Is anyone else struggling with a baby registry? I just don’t really care for the idea of it and kind of not sure what I would even put on it. It just seems odd to ask people to buy my baby things.

People are going to buy the baby things, so they might as well be things they KNOW you want/ need. 
Also, you could just make the registry for yourself and not share it. Most registries give you 15% off all items, as well as freebies. So save some money!

I had some issues with it for my first - we haven’t been doing it for our later pregnancies - but it was useful for us in the end. The completion discount is really useful - and grandparents and aunts were going to buy something, so it was nice to get things the baby needed.
  For me though the issue was knowing what the heck to get. It was nice having someone at the store walk us through what people normally buy - because we REALLY had no clue what babies need. My husband is an only child and my nieces and nephews all live far away so neither of us had been around babies since we had been them.
