34 vs 42

Recently divorced, married for 8 yrs to a straight up assshooole—even men have said so—and I have a 42 yr old man interested in helping meet my “needs.” Don’t judge—my ex husband hadn’t given me any in almost a year before we divorced. Divorce was nasty, whole marriage was nasty....so while I’m not looking to date, friends with benefits doesn’t sound half bad. He is 42, and I just turned 34...it does weird me out a little. Thoughts on an 8 yr age gap? Weird or standard?
