I'm bleeding during 6th week pregnancy

I've been married 2 months and I'm really happy that I've got a positive pregnancy result. The first time I went to the doctor she confirmed I'm pregnant and said to come back on my 7th week for scan. The very next day which is the 6th week and 3 days I had a bad dream and I immediately noticed stomach pain on my right lower stomach. When I went to the toilet I've noticed blood. I put on a pad and went to the doctor and she said took a blood test immediately and confirmed I'm still pregnant took an ultrasound and they couldn't ser my baby as yet. At 6+ weeks. She advices me bed rest. And to return to her after a week. I'm still bleeding slightly is there anything I can do  please help as I don't want to lost my child.
