Chlamydia

Just went for a check up and I got dignaosed with chlamydia. I was so upset and took the medicine but now I’m spiraling because I must have gotten it in the summer about 6 months ago. And now I’m googling things that it could cause permanent damage that I’ve had it this long without knowing. Has this happened to anyone else ? I didn’t have symptoms and slept with one person so i didn’t think i had any issues 🥺 now I’m in bed crying if I have permanent damage since I’ve had it for at least 6 months when I just started sleeping with that person. Help 🥺🥺
