when getting induced do they leave you at the hospital or do you get to go back home? Also how is the whole induction process? This is my first pregnancy and i know nothing and im getting induced today because im not dilating at all and im 39W1D pregnant😬

Interesting they are inducing you just because you’re not dilating, when that’s pretty normal at 39 weeks. Unless there’s a medical reason, you are within your rights to question this path. But if you are fine with proceeding with the induction, then that’s of course your personal decision. Just making sure you understand your options!

Once they start the process you won’t leave until the baby’s born. Especially with Covid going on. Once you’ve been admitted onto the ward, that’ll be you.

I was induced on Tuesday night with the folic bulb & had her Wednesday afternoon at 4:06pm. We are leaving this afternoon & I haven’t left the hospital but they have let my husband leave. Once you start they won’t let you go home cause everyone is different & they don’t know when you will deliver.

Yeah you usually  stay until  the baby is born im being induced  at 39 weeks by request but im 37 today and feel she is coming way before then

It’s interesting they are inducing you. If the only reason is because you are dilating I would maybe wait. I have several friends who had totally brutal labors because thwir bodies were not ready and they were induced. My cousin pushed so hard she burst vessels in her face and her eyes were swollen shut. I truly hope this isn’t the experience for you but maybe consider waiting if they have no
other medical reason to induce you.

Depending on how they induce you will effect the time. If they start with a cervix softener like cervadil that will be over night then they start with pitocin or another medicine by iv in the morning to really start the induction. Either way they keep you till the baby comes and you will be monitored the entire time. Good luck!
