Long-ish post! Shortening cervix @ 22 weeks
Going to try to make this as short as possible!
As a preventative measure because of my history I had a cerclage/cervical stitch placed & 14 weeks.
@ 21 weeks I had an ultrasound to check baby and cervical length *I have one every week - 2 weeks*
My cervix length was measuring 4.55
I am now 22 weeks * exactly 1 week later *
I had my regular ultrasound and my cervix is now measuring 3.5
I have a team of 3 maternal fetal specialists, however I had seen one yesterday that I have not seen my entire pregnancy and am not sure how familiar she is with my file.
She stated that she is not worried about my cervix because it still falls within the normal range
HOWEVER 4.55 to 3.5 in 7 days seems like a large difference to me. Especially when I am only 22 weeks with a cerclage placed and already on progesterone supplements.
Is this something you would follow up with immediately with the specialists you are familiar with or would you wait 6 more days until your next appointment to see what happens?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
It’s making me really nervous
