Last year everyone in my friend group forgot my birthday and now this year it looks like they forgot again. Birthdays are a big deal in our friend group and we go out of our way to make sure each person is celebrated. Except for me.

I don’t want a party or gifts, I just wish they’d tell me Happy Birthday, and let me know that they didn’t forget again 😞 They’re awake and active online posting memes.

I’ve just always felt like the outsider. There’s a clear difference on how I’m treated vs the rest of the friend group.

I try not to take it personally- it’s December and it’s a busy month for a lot of people. Plus a lot of them are dealing with seasonal depression. I just wish I meant enough to not be so easily forgotten all the time
