Baby Monitor advice

Im due my second baby at the end of January, with my first I used the Angelcare baby monitor and breathing mat for peace of mind as my little boy used to be sick in his sleep and would sometimes aspirate. It was a life saver! He was in with us till he was over 1 due to living with in-laws whilst renovating our house.

I was planning to use the same monitor for this baby but it got a little damaged in storage and now I can't decide to get the same one or to get the one with the camera unit as this time round hoping he'll be in his room sooner then my first and it's not right next to our room either so I was hoping the camera unit would help me to relax especially if we are downstairs watching TV whilst the baby sleeps.

Any advice do you recommend camera baby monitors? I've heard mixed views and heard some stories of them being hacked which scared me abit
