Should I accept induction?

Question

Been offered an induction because I’m so fed up. Baby has been measuring on the small side but NST has all been fine. I’m 40+2 and was 50% effaced at my last check at 39+6. 
Should I go for it?

I wouldn’t unless it was medically necessary. Interventions lead to more interventions.

I had an elective induction with my first and it's the worst decision I ever made. My body just wasn't ready and it took 3 days, a very traumatic experience. I definitely don't plan on doing it again.

I had to be induced with my first for medical reasons. And I am doing everything in my power to make sure I don't have to this time. 
Your body is just thrown into it without being ready. It sucked. Haha I'd hang on.

Luckily my induction was super easy and fast. Although everyone has different experiences. If your doctor says everything is fine and you feel comfortable enough, go for it!
