Baby #2s birth

On Tuesday evening at 7 pm I came into labor and delivery for an elective induction. My cervix was not dilated and slightly hard. They inserted cervidil at 8 pm. I went through the entire night cramping every 7-10 minutes and just so uncomfortable!

When I woke up on Wednesday at 8 am they checked me again. This time I am dilated to 1 cm and my cervix was softer

At 10 am they inserted cervitex

At 11 am I started having contractions every 7 minutes apart

At 11:30 am I started having contractions at 5 minutes apart

At noon I moved to the shower because my back was killing me

At 12:15 pm contractions started happening at 3 minutes apart. At that point my midwife had me move back to bed to check me and I was at 8 cm

At 12:30 pm contractions were 1 minute apart

At 12:40 pm my water broke

At 12:45 pm I started pushing - by the second push my sons head was out and by the fifth push his entire body was out

My adorable son was born at 12:54 pm weighing 7lbs 2oz and 18.5 inches long

Active labor for less than two hours and only 5 pushes - no medication at all. I’m one proud momma!
