Why the ring?

Curious to know the logic behind posting positive pregnancy tests and wedding/engagement rings. To me it's just cringeworthy, but I'd love to know from people who do it why.
So, what is the appeal? Why would/have you done it?

The only time I’ve seen that is when the woman isn’t sure if it’s positive so she’s asking for other opinions and the ring is to focus the camera on the test lol

I’ve never done but I assume it’s to try and see the lines better. Not sure what’s cringe worthy about it? People find the dumbest shit to get unsettled by.

When I wanted to see if its positive I used it for focusing the camera. Bc it will try and focus on everything around the test so instead it focuses on the lines and my ring. 
But after when it was positive I propped my ring on the side and took picks to use in our announcement video bc after 8 years of unexplained infertility and TTC we ended up getting pregnant randomly a month after marriage so for us i feel like it played a huge part.

Some use it to focus the camera and others have just seen it, don't know the reasoning behind it but think it is a must and do it also.
You can ask people using the ring. Some know why they do it and others don't, they just use it. 😃
