Should I be checking my bp or do they not care
I had gestational hypertension with my first and induced at 39 weeks because of it. With this kid, I feel like my symptoms have started earlier (34 weeks vs later like with my first). My bp was 139/83 at my 19 week appt and I asked for a bp cuff to monitor at home and they never sent me one. I've been told its only preeclampsia or hypertension if you have two recorded high bps 4 hours apart. But my appts are over a week apart lol.
I've been borderline and up there at my appointments. I hit 145/95 and they just re did it and recorded that number instead. Last appt I was 138/86 and they said "perfect!" These were the reads I was getting before being induced and having chest pains at the hospital.
I've had migraines and blurred vision. I'm on baby aspirin to keep my bp down. I take tylenol and migraines persist. But not enough protein in my urine (but enough for mychart to tag "gestational proteinuria") I've been told that I'm not swollen enough yet because they could still see my ankle bone (they checked once lol at 34 weeks)
Basically I've been having symptoms but idk, not enough of them present in my 20 min appointment so they say I'm fine.
So if I started taking my own BP, would they care at all about those numbers? Or is it not a factor at all here? I had to advocate HARD for myself last pregnancy and felt like absolute shit in the last week but figured you have to suffer in pregnancy only to find out it was because of all the preeclampsia symptoms.
