medication for anxiety?

for those who have been on antidepressants or beta blockers, i would love to hear your opinion on them and how they reacted with you.

this year my anxiety has taken a toll and i frequently have panic attacks whenever i go outside (agoraphobia). the doctor has prescribed me with Propranolol which are beta blockers to help regulate my adrenaline with panic attacks, i haven’t yet taken any. She was also talking about perhaps prescribing Sertraline for my low moods along with therapy.

I would like to know your input of these medications because I have received some mixed reactions from other people who have taken them.
