Trying my hand at baking!

Hi all, so I've always loved the idea of baking sweet treats and have dabbled a bit in the past with making cookies and a Victoria sponge cake but I always had my best friend at university to help me - who is such a wonderful baker and made sure they came out well.

Fast forward 8 years and as I'm on maternity leave I've decided to try making cakes again.

I started off with Cinnamon rolls (one batch with yeast, the other without) and today I have made a carrot cake.

I know I have a long way to go, both with flavours and the aesthetic of the cakes but I was pretty pleased with what I've done!
