Confused...

Hi, I'm not due my period for another 8 days. I am always on time and never had any problems. But yesterday I had some very pink light discharge, that I only needed a panty liner. But there was nothing when I wiped (sorry tmi). I have never experienced this this is why I've taken to write a post. I'm in no pain whatsoever, was just very random. Today there is nothing. Can anybody help and ease my mind as to what the cause could be? Thank you in advance....
