Pilonidal cyst?

Anyone has ever dealt with a pilonidal cyst. It's a cyst on the tailbone almost close to the butt . I have one and it has been infected but now it drained but still have a red pimple there that drains blood sometimes. They said I  need a operation for it to fully go away. I'm scared cuz I just had a baby c section one month ago . I'm sure its painful. Should I have it ut out or how?😥😥😥

Mostly yes if the sac is still inside my husband had one once and it hurt him once they drained it and removed the sac he felt so much relief

Did you end up having the operation? If so, how was recovery? I have a newborn and 2-year-old, and I’m scared as well.

I had mine removed completely several years ago.  I dealt with it for about 10+ years before a doctor finally said to remove it instead of draining every time there was a flare up.  I had it removed and haven’t had any issues.  The recovery wasn’t bad and I felt much better right away.  I would recommend you do it now as suggested.  It will be so much easier to recover while baby is still very little.
