Who has had an ectopic that resulted in the removal of a tube and ovary ?

I had my ectopic pregnancy loss on August 23, 2020. 
It resulted in the loss of one tube and ovary because it was discovered so late and I’m terrified of getting pregnant again and losing my other tube and ovary. 
We want to try again soon but I’m just so scared because what if it’s another ectopic and I lose this tube and ovary too... it’s the only one I have left. 
Has anyone had a successful pregnancy after tubal removal due to ectopic ? Is there anything I can do to prevent it?

Unfortunately even if the doctors told you everything looked perfect after your surgery there's still no way of knowing what will happen the next time. I had two ectopics back to back in the span of 4 months last year, I did not lose any ovaries, I'm sorry for that loss for you! I think if I were in that position again, I would talk to a reproductive endocrinologist about any tests that could be done before trying again. Because there are many tests that can try to help you get a better understanding with what's going on in there! I hope this is somewhat helpful, and I'm sorry for what you've gone through, I feel you.

Unfortunately your chances of another ectopic are 10% as opposed to 1% if you’ve never had one
I had an ectopic and lost my left tube in September. We tried as soon as my cycle returned and I got pregnant again, how I don’t know because I have one tube and his sperm sucks lol. I also ovulated from the side without a tube

Thank you so much for your insights. Just so scary. My OB tells me just to tell him when he start trying again so if I fall pregnant they can catch it if it’s an ectopic before it’s too late but that’s still so scary. I have a feeling it won’t be hard for me because I was very fertile prior to my ectopic, my periods and ovulation are like clockwork so that’s good news on my end at least but still scary because we have to be EXTRA careful until we know we’re prepared for what could happen cause once we start trying it might happen quickly (or maybe it won’t, maybe I’m only half as fertile now which wouldn’t be a bad thing at this point ). I’m just scared and told there’s nothing I can do to even prevent it , just keep close track of it when I do get pregnant to make sure it implanted properly. I think I’m gonna call soon and see if they can run any tests to make sure there’s no serious issues with my tube and ovary I have left
