I’m 14 days PP. Latching baby has hurt from day 1. I use a nipple shield. My nipples have been in pain ever since. Ima assuming Bc of latching issues. Since yesterday my nipples have started to itch. Saw a lactation consultant this am. She said we both have thrush. Him in mouth and me on nipples. She advised us to have him seen by pediatrician for medication. We took him after our lactation appt. the pediatrician checked him and said baby does not have thrush. He took a look at my breasts and he said he doesn’t think I have it either. Went home with no medication. I have an appt next week to see my OB so he can take a look at my breasts. Does anyone in here have any experience with thrush on breast? My symptoms are pain when breastfeeding. Itchiness, a bit cracked. Idk if the pediatrician is right?
